The Microsoft Regional Director program is sponsoring a contest at Tech-Ed 2009 called The Incredible Race Condition. Attendees will receive a clue card with the name and picture of 10 RDs who are speaking at Tech-Ed this year. The attendees will be in “a race” to find each RD and ask for a clue. The RD will provide a URL that directs the attendee to a clue. The URL format is as follows:
http://tr.im/theregion_### (### is a number provided by RD speaker)
The clue will be a phrase that is missing a word. The attendee will find the phrase on TheRegion.com and determine the missing word. Once the word is found, the attendee will write that word in the blank spot on the clue card next to the picture of the RD who provided the URL clue.
Attendees who complete the card will then “race” on Thursday night to the RD table and turn it in for a prize. Those who are among the first to submit a completed card get to choose which of the prizes to take away. All others who follow will still get a prize as well (just not first pick).
The race is on!
