Last week I taught my last class using Visual Studio 2005 as the target platform for development.
When I think about it, it is really amazing that Visual Studio 2005 training has been strong all the way into the year 2009. Now every developer class I teach at Interface Technical Training will be exclusive to Visual Studio 2008. How long will the Visual Studio 2008 training ride last? If it follows the same pattern of its predecessor, we will see it taught through the year 2012.
So how compelling will Visual Studio 2010 be? Will the market jump quick? Will the training demands be high? I hope to get a pulse to these questions as I interact with developers from all over while I am attending Tech-Ed 2009 in Los Angeles, CA.
